GACS has a rich tradition of success dating back to the 1970’s.  In fact, when I was playing high school basketball at Central Gwinnett in the 1970’s, GAC was one of our most respected opponents.  The boys’ basketball team has won five state championships and an incredible number of region championships, including one last season. They also made many state tournament appearances, including Back-to-Back State Championships in 2010 and 2011.  My goal is to repeat these successes. In fact, I begin every season with the same plan -> to win state.  Along with winning, however, my goal is to help each basketball player realize their potential as an athlete and as a child of God.  Basketball can teach the boys a great deal about life, so as their coach, I hope to help each player mature into the young man they are capable of becoming.

The Spartan basketball program embraces the mission of GACS – helping every child grow as Jesus did, in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man.  We will focus on servitude while working on becoming the best team we are capable of being.  I am incredibly excited about beginning a new season and building on our success from last year. Stay tuned because I think it’s going to be an exciting season.
